Fair
While having our after school snack,
Younger boy started a chat.
YB : We've a Talent Show coming.
I : Show?
YB : Yes, kind of competition.
I : Competition?
YB : Yes. Only for Yr 7.
One can sing, dance, play instrument etc.
I : Alright. Did you enter?
YB : Kind of.
I : Kind of?
YB : Yeah.
A classmate has asked me to join him.
I : What are you two to perform?
YB : He's going to play guitar and sing.
I'll play piano in the background.
I : That's good. Team work.
Have you thought about doing it alone?
YB : No, it won't be fair.
I : What do you mean?
YB : I'm doing my grade 8 in piano.
It won't be fair to others as they're at lower grades.

When's the last time you compared?
Just minutes ago?
What did you compare?
It's a human nature to compare.
In the old days,
Which cave was better to sleep in?
In the modern days,
Which Walkman looked better?
In the recent days...
Which supermarket offers best value?
Which firm offers cheapest energy price?
Which provider offers lowest mobile tariffs?
So why these academics were so keen to...
Attack OECD to compare internationally,
Academic results of the 15-year-old's?

Their own pay packages with others' internationally,
Their applicants' academic result before shortlisting them.
Their students' work before grading their assignment.
Do these academics think they're the only one can compare?
Because they're the 'Elite' and only they know Education?
Do you think these 'Elite' attacking OECD,
Was because they're doing a 'Pre-emptive strike'?
Because they feel OECD would soon compare unis? (2nd last para.)
Do you think rather than Criticising like us the 'ordinary',
These 'Elite' should be Contributing & set a good example :
Designing a better model for us the 'ordinary' to compare?
